Children back at school was busy but amazing. When I decided to start documenting the end of this week, it brought so much more joy to me. It wasn’t about the clipboard and photos. It was about slowing me down, keeping me in the moment, and truly getting to know the kids.

Today we asked our kinders what they would miss most about online learning & what they were looking forward to about returning to school. One child excitedly shared “I can’t wait to see people’s legs when we aren’t on the computer!” and I haven’t stopped smiling about it since.

After an interest in puppet making at the art centre and seeing a puppet post from Kerrie Schwantz, we invited our small literacy groups to name & design a sock puppet. Then educator and child re-read the plan to create the puppet! Lots of excitement!

During mental health awareness week, I think about my postpartum anxiety diagnosis a year ago after my second baby. It was probably the most difficult time of my life. I am so grateful to those who shared their own story PPA and I do so also to stop the stigma. 1/2

I am beyond grateful for the check-in texts, listening ears, & porch food drop offs. I was lucky to have so much support from so many. Little things make a big impact! I am in a wonderful place now & if you are struggling in this way, know that it gets so much better. 💕2/2
