Reception and Year one have had a very busy week. They received a very special letter from Father Christmas asking them to be his elves. They have been in training all week, completing important tasks. Today they got the good news that they have all passed elf training .

Today was our last PE session with Mr White. Thank you for everything .

Reception loved their first judo class, we are looking forward to learning more moves. Watch this space !

Year One have been learning about the United Kingdom and where we live as part of their Geography topic.

Year one have been busy in PE this week.

Continuing with our UK topic in Geography our Year one class have been busy making their own United Kingdom with Play-Doh.

Reception have been learning new vocabulary through Drawing Club this morning. Look at their expressions!

Reception and Year one have been learning about carnivores and herbivores as part of their science topic. We played a game where the children had to choose their food depending on which animal they were .

Before half term, pupils from Year 5 and Year 6 took part in a dance competition. We are delighted to say we came third. We had a wonderful day, those smiles say it all. Thank you to Miss Hawkins for organising it all.

Reception and Year 1 have been busy in our outside area today as part of their science topic “taking care of our world”. We have tidied , reused and recycled.

We’re taking part in The Big Lent Walk. School gates will be open from 8:30 every morning throughout Lent to start walking. Please see the school newsletter for the link to donate to CAFOD.

Year 2 have been learning how to create texture with paint using a variety of tools in their painting and mixed media topic.

For world book day this year we had a bedtime story theme. We had a lovely day reading and sharing our favourite books whilst wearing our pyjamas.

The daffodils that Reception and Year One planted months ago have bloomed this week. Spring is on its way .

Reception and Year one enjoyed experimenting to see how a hot air balloon flies as part of our history topic.

Some Year 2 children visited De La Salle school this week. The children were very excited to be collected on the mini bus. We spent time in the school library listening to stories, reading books and playing games. The children had a fabulous time as did the De La Salle children.

We have the best parents at St. Teresa’s! Our parent volunteers have been helping us to improve our outdoor area. Reception were very interested in what they were doing and then set to work themselves this afternoon.

Our wonderful new feature wall in our outside area. We love that we can start to see the results of all our hard work.

Today Reception have been practicing combining groups in their number work .
