Siargao's beautifully done and it is stunning. The visual is appetizingly sooooo goooood. But the story is ok, I wanted more heaviness and I didn't feel it. It is simple yet so rich.

Watched Siargao the Movie last night and went home with both a yearning to visit the island (duh) but also a renewed affinity for small (and yes, imperfect) slice-of-life narratives that are moved along by things both said and withheld. Congrats Anj + 15,035,772 proud of you!

For me, #SiargaoMMFF was a reminder that sometimes home isn’t always comfortable. Home isn’t always going to be perfect for your individuality. But home can be the person you’re willing to give up everything for, and still be incandescently happy.
