A teenage girl stabbed to death while making her way to school has been pictured for the first time.

Named locally as GCSE student Eliyanna, the 15-year-old had been making her way to Old Palace of John Whitgift School in Croydon when she was attacked and killed on yesterday…

The way murders, especially stabbings, of young people are reported really bothers me. It's so sensationalist, with little to no empathy for the victim or their family. Do you know how sad a child being murdered is? This isn't entertainment news.

What's bothering me is the lack of support her 15 year old friends will receive in School. They're going to have to go back tomorrow without being provided a safe space with the right people to grieve & talk. This was literally us in 2006.

The same “your butters anyway” response to when a girl says no, is what becomes manifestation of femicide at the extreme scale when you reject a guy. It is an inability to accept rejection from women/girls is rooted in ideas of ownership and possession of women and girls.

Matthew White lived his full life - he died the year after the Met police stopped investigating. But the evidence ‘further implicates three prime suspects who are still alive’ now. The failures are beyond the Met - beyond the police. The whole system is complicit. It’s harrowing!

Clive Driscoll, the officer who convicted 2 of the killers, said Cressida Dick suggested he should not bother going after the other suspects, even though the trial judge had urged their pursuit. Mr Driscoll went on to arrest White, but was made to retire..
