Skyler in Year 7 competed in the North of England Trampolining Finals yesterday. Skyler performed amazingly, achieving a new PB and finishing with an individual bronze medal out of the top 8 in the region!

We were delighted to recognise the hard work of our Scholars at a special Scholarship Breakfast this morning. Mrs Mackenzie presented Scholars for the 2024-25 academic year with a pin badge to celebrate their achievements across Academic, Music and Sport disciplines.

A novel approach to laser diffraction by Year 12 Physics students!

Many people have an opinion on what makes the perfect Yorkshire pudding. Yesterday, Year 10 Food and Nutrition students were conducting a food science investigation into the factors that affect the sensory qualities and most importantly the height of Yorkshire puddings.

The children in Upper Prep have been set an art challenge led by the European Space Agency. The children are creating pieces of moon art which ties in perfectly with their current IPC topic, 'Space Scientists'. Here are our early entries - we are looking forward to seeing more!

Year 8 Biology students have been investigating uses of micro-organisms. They made bread dough and then investigated the optimum temperature for the bread dough to rise. They were able to explain that the yeast respires, producing carbon dioxide, which makes the bread dough rise.

Pre-Prep children have had a fantastic start to their new IPC unit 'We Are What We Eat'. The children created their own restaurant in the classroom this week. They took on different roles of being a chef, waiter or customer.

It's all smiles in Nursery this week as the youngest members of our school community have settled into the start of the summer term. They are all raring to go and looking forward to lots of fun and learning!
