The City of Hamilton will be performing maintenance on the Cole St. water tower, as well as the Kelly St. standpipe. Work is scheduled to begin on Nov 17 and is expected to be completed by Dec 19. Water pressure will be maintained in homes and businesses during the work.

The Memorial Park skating loop will open for another season on Friday, December 15 (weather permitting). City of Hamilton staff will maintain the ice surface until 10pm each day, while the overhead lights will remain on until 11pm.

The City of Hamilton will be lowering all flags to half-staff today, ahead of a repatriation ceremony, in honour of Gunner (Gnr) Sebastian Halmagean. He was a Hamiltonian who served as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces overseas in Latvia.
