Curt Cignetti shares a universal truth about habits and consequences. "In life - you got freedom of choice, but not freedom of consequence." "First you form your habits, then your habits form you." Every choice and action you take compounds. The small decisions you make daily

Well, most people didn’t think Alabama and Miami should be in the CFP. They both went on the road and beat the teams that “belonged.” Interesting turn of events. As for the portal, the good news is that guys who were benched are starting for others..and winning. Fun for all.

Called in a fraud alert on my Amex yesterday morning. This morning, I received my new metal card. Less than 24 hour turnaround. Wow!!! Thank you American Express

I remember walking by schools in DC and in LA in the late 80s. The kids weren’t there by choice and those who could leave already did. Those who couldn’t afford to leave were stuck. That’s when I got involved in supporting parent choice. Been fighting for kids ever since.

School board members of districts experiencing loss of enrollment, budget deficits, low achievement and low graduation rates should be having very tough conversations with their superintendents right now. Silence is not an option.

I appreciated @ESPN’s announcers for the Peach Bowl. Loved their background on Indiana Football’s offensive and defensive coordinators and how they were paid $5k/$6k while at IUP and how Curt Cignetti took a big pay cut to be head coach at IUP. Yes, all 3 are finally getting

Ok Indianapolis Colts fans. I have the scoop. Colts will tank in 2026 to get first round pick in ‘27 and pick Arch Manning in the draft. That’s the scoop. :). Gregg Doyel can verify. :) or maybe Adam Schefter can. :)

Super excited to see ⁦Vop Osili⁩ announce he is running for Indy Mayor. I’ve known Vop since 2002. We were neighbors at Union Station when we opened our first school. He’s a great leader, cares about his community and works to get the job done.

I understand why Robert Pondiscio says graduation rates are equivalent to “participation” trophies, and that’s why GEO Academies expect more from our HS grads. Most earn associate degrees/career credentials before graduating HS. Our Gary school’s grad rate (97%) is 40 points greater

Indiana supports the idea of multiple charter authorizers because it supports multiple points of view regarding schools. Do not let charter accountability to be defined by the proposed IPEC. If that happens, there will be no need for multiple authorizers in Indy.

Posting a 57% graduation rate masks the fact that 124 students out of 290 did not graduate. 124 lives did not earn a high school diploma. Their lifetime income is in the dump. Some call high school diplomas a “participation” trophy. But 124 students didn’t even earn that. Why

Here is an example of social media bullying when it comes to schools that most don’t consider. National high school rankings usually look at number of students taking AP classes/tests and ACT/SAT scores. So schools wanting high rankings administer these classes/tests. And those
