I spent hours today with my student constituents from Osbourn Park HS, first joining the Metal Jackets robotics The Metal Jackets along with Battlefield’s Team 1885 in Fairfax for the FIRST competition.

We're heartbroken by the death of Kendrick Castillo, a victim of the STEM School Highlands Ranch shooting in Littleton, CO. Kendrick was a member of FRC 4418: IMPULSE, of which his father is Lead Mentor. Our hearts go out to Kendrick’s family, friends, & all affected by the shooting.

I was so happy to see my Gainesville constituent Jack Palmer earn the spirit award too. Jack’s advocates for STEM, The Metal Jackets & the robotics program with so much enthusiasm. He’s guided me through two of their competitions and I returned the favor in RVA I’m proud of you, Jack!
