2/4 If Oklahoma fails to conduct these tests then Oklahoma loses Federal funding to the tune of millions. Plan 2 is that teachers will go on spring break and not return. In doing so, the state legislatures have a week before we get to the nuclear option the following week.

3/4 Further discussions are being made with large school systems, PTSAs, unions, and school boards to continue to build consensus on this strike strategy. It is expected that a strike date will be announced this coming Friday March 9th.

4/4 We urge all teachers to begin talking to colleagues, administrators, school board members, and most importantly your PTSA as they will need to manage the children in our absence. During spring break a protest will be held at the Capitol to urge legislatures to take action.

We had some comments on the strike fund, and I'd like to clear a few things up - this initial gofundme is for spreading the word and protecting the teachers going public with this. Not being a strike organizer, I wasn't attempting to mislead with the "strike fund" terminology.

I can assure you that every penny donated is going to the strike in one way or another. Reaching out to teachers, protecting teachers, and helping teachers once we're there. If you don't wish to contribute at this point, I'm sure other funds will appear later. It all helps.
