TEACHERS SHOULD GIVE GRACE. [An excerpt from my new book for teachers].

Cost of living has gone up but wages have not. How’s this going to work over time? How will life be sustainable for citizens?

What I hope my new book says to others is, “I hear and see you, teachers. I want to affirm all the good you’ve been doing or are about to do. You are amongst family, now. Breathe. Work. Experience joy. Rest. Be encouraged. Let’s continue to do this well.”

I’ve been writing this book for over 7 years. It’s finally time to release it to the world. If you’re a teacher, administrator, educator, parent, student, or human-being dedicated to treating people like people, this book is for you 🎉

Had my first back-to-school nightmare last night 😂 welcome back, y’all.

Week one of school is done! ✅ • building relationships w/ students is KEY! • show grace every chance you can • let your personality shine through ✨ • dance, joke around & SMILE often 😀 • remember, they’re kids. • be firm, fair, and flexible. •be THAT teacher! 👨🏾‍🏫

Went to sleep at 9PM on a Friday. Yup, that’s that first week of school teacher tired. 🥱

Student apathy is absolutely demoralizing. Zaps the energy from me as a teacher. Especially when I’m confident the lesson is exciting and I’m being engaging. “Y’all gotta give me SOMETHING.”
