Fyodor Fyodorovich Muhlbach was a St.Petersburg piano manufacturer. He was among friends Tchaikovsky dined with at a restaurant five days before his death. He reputedly drank unboiled water on that occasion and again the next day before a planned business meeting with Muhlbach.

My music day ends with the delicious Pas de deux from "The Nutcracker" by Tchaikovsky. It doesn't get more Christmassy than The Nutcracker, and Tchaikovsky's ballet scores are the zenith for me. Sir Simon Rattle conducts the Berliner Philharmoniker. Goodnight, everyone. Nos da.
