A career highlight was to host #UNDP Goodwill Ambassador Nikolaj Coster-Waldau when he visited #Odisha to shoot for his documentary series ‘An Optimist’s Guide to the Planet’ in #Kendrapara district. A dedicated climate advocate and an incredibly warm person!

A humble reflection from my work in the #climate space - for some, ‘#climateaction’ has become a fancy word, exploited for personal gain & popularity. We need to remember that it is not about a person or an entity, rather our shared responsibility which must not be monopolized.

My first story for UNDP India. Always a pleasure to interact with #climate champions, who are our true heroes on the ground. Thank you Sukirti Dwivedi for the edit. #Odisha #ClimateAction Spandita Kar

In India's Balasore district, Kanchan Jena wields poetry as a powerful tool to communicate the realities of climate change, “Poetry touches emotions in a way plain speech cannot,” she says. “I weave in feelings so people understand why these issues matter to them personally.”

Happy to document this story for #16DaysOfActivism2025 campaign. When a woman’s aspirations are nurtured at home, her potential knows no bounds. Such stories truly reinforce change starts at home. #GharSeShuru #Odisha
