In just a few moments, @GovInslee will sign “Kimberly Bender’s law,” a bill prompted by my KING 5 News investigation about a sexually abusive Forks jail guard. The new law will increase accountability for corrections officers who sexually abuse inmates.

Kimberly Bender’s family brought photos of their daughter to share with @GovInslee this AM as he signed “Kimberly Bender’s Law.” Kimberly died by suicide after reporting her jail guard sexually harassed her. Her family says she would’ve been proud to see positive change.
