This weekend I presented our research on breastfeeding during surgical residency at the American College of Surgeons Texas chapter. The results we found were disheartening. 246 women responded, and 64% said they stopped breastfeeding earlier than planned due to the constraints of residency.
Dr. Deb Mueller, MD - A pioneer woman surgery leader, inspiring surgeon, wife, and mother - her legacy will live on in all of us who have had the privilege to know her.
