To run a node, users need $AR tokens. The KYVE team recommends 0.5 $AR. You can get 0.02 $AR for free from the Arweave faucet here: faucet.arweave.net

13/ All nodes are operated by independent people, which is why KYVE is entirely decentralized. People who participate in the KYVE Network have to run a node and put tokens in collateral, sort of like having to get a license for a franchise.

14/ The “license” allows users to use KYVE’s name & get financially rewarded. Buying a license can be expensive, which is why delegation is in place, acting as a sort of crowdfunding device.
