Turns out we can learn something from financial ratings (e.g., Standard and Poor's) to help improve hospital quality rating systems. Financial ratings have much better audits. As always, fun to work with Tarik Yuce @cebarnard on this.
There are many lessons to be learned from other industries. Here we outline key aspects of financial rating systems which may represent avenues for improving our measurement of health care quality. Many thanks to Karl Bilimoria and @cebarnard for their mentorship and support!
Great job Audra Reiter presenting our experience with perioperative VTE prophylaxis for bariatric surgery at SAGES is in Long Beach in 2025!. Interesting finding that enoxaparin was associated w ⬆️ bleeding compared w heparin, without differences in VTE. #SAGES23 NW Gen Surg Residents
