Tapiwanashe Makarawu was crowned the 2024 Sports Person of the Year at the Annual National Sports Awards, (ANSA), held at the Cresta Lodge in Msasa, Harare.

Carli Makarawu (Kentucky) 🇿🇼 wins the NCAA men's 200m title in a PB & National Record of 19.84s (0.3)! He led a 1-2 for Zimbabwe with Makanakaishe Charamba (Auburn) who was 2nd in 19.92s.

MAKARAWU SEVENTH IN WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 200M FINAL Zimbabwe's Tapiwanashe Makarawu finished 7th in the final of the men's 200m at the World Championships in Tokyo. The race was won by USA's Noah Lyles. Well done for representing the nation with pride, Tapiwanashe.
