AllergyUK is collaborating with Food Standards Agency campaign to highlight the risk of food labelled as vegan to families managing food allergies. If you have an allergy to animal-based products, always check the may contain label on vegan products to decide if it's safe.

Food Standards Agency has launched an awareness campaign for the public to understand food allergen risks in #vegan foods. There is a concern that people with #foodallergies to milk, eggs, fish, crustaceans or molluscs are at risk from allergic reactions to foods that are labelled as 'vegan.'
We’re delighted to support Food Standards Agency with their campaign to warn people who react to milk, eggs, fish or shellfish that vegan food might not always be safe for them to eat, due to the risk of cross contamination. For more information on this campaign visit ow.ly/EgMl50QLpMw
