I’m excited to be a part of the EduData Summit in DC this June alongside some global leaders in the AI and education space. At AIDEN, we are enabling as many students and teachers as possible to understand and leverage AI to create a better future for themselves. QS Quacquarelli Symonds

Reading Henry Shukman’s incredibly enlightening memoir. Even though we live ordinary lives, Zen offers the possibility of a change in how we experience our lives - that is not at all ordinary. It’s the most radical thing we can do for ourselves and Shukman makes it accessible.

Stop wasting your time on these 6 things:

1. Worrying about other people’s opinions
2. Judging other people
3. Putting things off to the future
4. Holding onto the past
5. Arguing with reality
6. Thinking you are going to live forever

“Of all the skills, values, and mindsets that we need in order to thrive in the future, perhaps the most underrated and unrecognized one is existential intelligence.” — Tannya Jajal link.medium.com/uuBUmgqzSHb

20. If it makes you a worse person, it’s not success.

If starting a business tears your relationships apart, makes you bitter or frustrated with people—then it doesn’t matter how much money it makes or external praise it receives.

That's not success.

AI agents have real potential.

I went back to Devin, the AI coder agent, after not using it for a day & completely forgot that I assigned it to create a visualization of the economics of startup dilution. It plugged away and I came back to a solid draft that could be iterated on

Well, that’s an obvious age-old correlation between loneliness, introversion and internet behavior. From what I know, Replika has its own proprietary LLM and scripted dialogue, not GPT3 enabled (although Luka Inc does not seem wholly trustworthy or credible).

In Buddhism, this practice is known as Maranasti Meditation or death meditation, a series of thought experiments where you contemplate your death in a practical way to enhance zest for living. Love how the eastern Buddhists and western stoics often had the same musings!

The AI-as-intern analogy is a good starting point but misses at least three things:
1) It isn’t one intern, it is tremendous numbers of interns at scale
2) The intern likely outperforms you in at least some of your tasks
3) The intern improves with better prompts, and new models.
