Looks like Elon killed the third-party apps. Tweetbot was what made t writer usable for me. I’m still sitting on the fence between here and Mastodon, but if Tweetbot is permanently dead, I’m gone.

Now that I’ve finished Odyssey, I’m going to dip a toe back into social media again - I’d stopped all of it, everywhere, and it was a nice break, but it was also my primary form of contact with some folks and I don’t want to lose that.

I just finished @odysseyworkshop: 6 months of intensive writing craft development under the personal guidance of the wonderful Jeanne Cavelos. Exhaustive and exhausting, it works: my brain is now 20% more wrinkled (and so am I). Happy to answer Qs from prospective students! 🚀

Someone just released the creative writing equivalent of the microwave meal. They’re financially invested in convincing you it’s as good as restaurant food. But microwave meals have been around a long time, and good cooking is doing fine. Most folks appreciate the difference.
