Today, we were delighted to host Dr. Mingchao Liu from the University of Birmingham for an engaging and impressive talk on "Mechanics of Robotic Metamaterials: from morphing to locomotion".

Many thanks Stefan Szyniszewski for your invitation. I look forward to the talk at Durham University on 14th March. My talk will be about "Bridging Mechanics and Machine Learning in Composite Design and Optimisation". I'm also excited about visiting the beautiful city of Durham.

It was a lovely science weekend! We learned the plants and enjoyed taking microscopic photos of plants, flowers, insects and toys, etc. It was a really nice way to unveil a new "micro-world" for our kids. Thanks Jennifer for organising these fun activities and the photos.
