Severe weather update from Soma Sanctuary Pinellas Point St. Petersburg Florida

A couple of things to be alert about on Thursday. A Wind Advisory is posted for 20-30 mph winds with gusts to 50. Also, a Coastal Flood Watch is posted for later in the day when the winds shift into the W pushing water up along the coast. 2-4' is possible along the Nature Coast.

Severe thunderstorms, strong winds of 40 to 60 mph, and 2 to 3 feet of storm surge coastal flooding tomorrow for Tampa Bay.

Thursday's squall line will pack quite a punch. Rather strong onshore flow could bring a bit of coastal flooding. Widespread severe weather is NOT expected, however we can certainly expect some isolated storms to get pretty feisty. 'Slight risk' area has been expanded a bit South
