So many things stay unspoken when a baby dies. I find that new parents always want to talk about their baby, and it’s no different when a precious baby has died. This week’s prompt is a chance to write down some of the things you want the whole wide world to know about your baby.

This week, our writing prompt invites you to write a letter to the baby you have lost. Writing to somebody is so different from writing about them. It allows for another tone of voice, other words, a kind of closeness you build as the writing goes on. What might your letter say?

This morning I've been rereading some of Emily Tammam's writing about her daughter Neve, thinking about what we're actually doing when we write about our experiences of grief. I love the way you put this, Emily, inviting the gift of keeping you company: emilytammam.substack.com/p/hope-at-the-…

I'm blown away by the idea that poetry can influence for the better how healthcare professionals and patients interact. I so appreciated being interviewed by inspirational and outside-the-box thinker Dr Tara George for her podcast for HCPs.

We know how important it is that women & their partners are listened to & believed by healthcare professionals during pregnancy. It can be lifesaving. Thank you Sujitha for this convo on medical silencing with a focus on pregnancy Link here👇🏽 #unheard m.youtube.com/watch?v=_5Jwt_…

Please read this poem if you can: a reflection on writing a letter to a precious baby who lived too briefly. These words are so moving, thank you Michael for posting them here.

If you see a prompt that inspires you to write, bookmark it until you have a quiet moment, and spend a little time with pen and paper, maybe a cup of tea, maybe light a candle, and see what comes to you.

Every family has its own shape, which changes over the years as new generations come along. This week, our writing prompt is an invitation to think about the special place of your baby in the family tree, and how old or new family traditions might hold their memory close.

What a fascinating insight from Emily Tammam If we could tell our beloveds the story of what will happen to their memory & legacy after their deaths, what would we tell them? How might imagining that future feel to them? A beautiful reflection.
