I was really glad to be at the ribbon cutting for Deborah's Place, which is an organization who provides transitional housing for women who are impacted by abuse and those re-entering society from incarceration. We look forward to partnering with them to support their mission!

Thanks to Mt. Carmel Baptist Church for hosting the Second Annual Family Fun Juneteenth Celebration! It was wonderful to see so many kids and families enjoying all of the excitement of the event!

Thanks to Pastor Tracy Streeter and New Fellowship Family Church family for inviting me to their 30th Annual Community Faith and Family Day! We were able to provide a number of neighborhoods kids with backpacks that had been donated to our office.

Thanks to Castleton United Methodist Church for hosting another wonderful fish fry! It is always a joy for our staff to enjoy your event every year!

Some great news to share! Our office was awarded a grant and we are proud to use it to further our partnership with the Metropolitan School District of MSD of Lawrence Township to address housing stability its among students!

It is always great to be at Harrison Hill Elementary School's Back-to-School night! I enjoyed passing out information from our office and talking to families about how we can help them out.

Thanks to Community Alliance of the Far Eastside for hosting the Community Job Fair & Resource Expo yesterday! Having an organization like CAFE who prioritizes employment and connecting residents to programs within our community is a tremendous help for all!

Thanks to CAFE for hosting the 1st Annual Back2School Tailgate! We were fortunate that Unity In Christ Family Worship Center and The Untold Foundation Inc were partners in putting the event on. It was wonderful to pass out resources to get students ready for the school

Happy Labor Day! Last weekend we were fortunate to attend the Lawrence Community Safety Day, which was a wonderful oppurtunity for people to meet our public safety professionals who keep our community safe. We are very thankful to them on Labor Day for working to protect us!

Trustee Talley enjoyed meeting with Lawrence Township School board member Crystal Puckett to discuss ways to strengthen our long term partnership with the Metropolitan School District of Lawrence Township. We are thankful for MSDLT and all they do!

I really enjoyed attending the 3rd Annual Calvin W. Prather Masonic Lodge #717 Auto Show which is a fundraiser to support Servants at Work, who specialize in building wooden wheelchair ramps for residents of our community.

Always great spending time with students and families at the Harrison Hill Elementary School Fall Festival! We are fortunate for all the leaders at Harrison Hill who really prioritize community involvement and for all they do for the kids!

Thanks to Mt. Carmel Baptist Church for inviting us to their Annual Fall Fest! It was such a blast to see all the kids and their excitement for Halloween. We enjoyed talking to community members and providing information for them to use!

Our office is very glad to continue our partnership with the Lawrence Township School Foundation by donating school supplies to them! The Foundation does tremendous work in our township to support students, so we were happy to help. Thanks to Misty and the team for all you do!

I was excited to join Pastor Theron D. Williams and the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church family for a Day of Celebration in experiencing their faith and joy of community as they launched their grocery store on wheels. It will make a difference in the life of Lawrence residents!

It was an honor to once again support the Annual Indianapolis Public Library Fall Fest this weekend! This event’s mission is to empower our students, and it was especially wonderful this year because of the special guests, Yolanda Renee King and Martin Luther King III.

Our office is very proud to begin a new program to provide Free Rides to Lawrence Township residents to access food pantries! We are happy to partner with La Keisha Jackson, of Pathway Resource Center, to make this possible. Please call our office at 317-890-1624 to schedule.

It was really a joy to read a book with an awesome class at Mary Castle Elementary School to celebrate Read Across America Day! There are few things as encouraging as seeing our youth becoming lifelong readers and learners. Thank you to Principal Carl Blythe for having me!

Thank you to the Zion Hope Baptist Church for hosting a Senior Resource Fair to connect community members to social service agencies for our area! We were happy to provide information about our Trustee’s Offices and services we can provide to seniors and their families.

Really great to be back at Zion Hope Church this afternoon for their “Women of Virtue - She Is” event! Very grateful to Pastor McGee and his team for welcoming us and for hosting such a wonderful event for women in our community to connect and spread an uplifting message!
