We recently went through a Class and Comp study with our HR Department and made the decision that using the ‘GIS’ tag in the title pulled down the pay scale and path forward for the position. I had posed the question to this group several months ago. #gischat Thread 2/4

If having the ‘GIS’ tag was important to their feeling of self-worth as a GIS professional? A majority told me that it didn’t make a difference. That being said, I have been in the GIS industry with a GIS title for over 25 years. #gischat Thread 3/4
