Here is where we sit for season totals on 4/17 as 1/3 of the ski areas have closed for the season. We will have another 1/3 closing this weekend. The remaining 6 could possibly see a little snow the last week of April. 'Season % of Avg' is against the average of last 15 seasons.

We received 1.8' (4.5 cm) of in the last day. Our season total snowfall is now 357' (907 cm), only 3' (8 cm) away from our annual median!

Fortunately, the heavy, wet snow that we got this year means that we already hit above average snow water equivalent.

We expected the southerly flow around the east side of the storm to block the heavier precipitation, but it blocked more than expected. The ski areas are reporting a dusting up to 2 inches of snow so far as of Sunday morning, with 1-6 inches farther south in the central Sierra.
