Neither of those ideas were realistic to buy heavily into from our current starting point IMO because they require tectonic changes that necessitate voter buy-in and shared sacrifice (read: pain). People seemed to want to believe they'd happen quickly with minimal disruption.

Every few weeks mortgages jump by double digits and we get posts about how well housing is doing. But every rise in apps is followed by a comparable drop and we are barely above the multi year lows. No crash, no boom. Low volume stasis. Affordability quagmire marches on.

Increasing talk that the Fed should ease. There are some signs of softening demand, yes, but monpol is not a preemptive guessing game. Cross currents in the economy right now are enormous. Demographics are keeping labor tight with declining but positive job growth. Wages have

Powell's resistance to political pressure here is the keystone holding together the economic expansion. The harder the administration publicly berates him, the more he logically MUST resist or the institution crumbles and the bond market gets incinerated. This is the big leagues.

USA tariff on China: 55% China tariff on USA: 10% So America will make its people pay a bigger surcharge for Chinese goods than Chinese people will pay for American goods? And this is... how America wins? Was the Chinese delegation laughing as they left the talks?

Having public agencies funded by taxpayer dollars tweeting partisan hack shit like this is a horrendous slope to begin sliding down. But nothing surprises me anymore. We are actively eroding our own social fabric whether or not we see its pernicious effects yet.

IMO knowing stables are the future doesn't require me to be bullish on other digital token projects. Doesn't mean being a bear but they don't necessarily stay attached at the hip. Think it's very likely stablecoins integrate into the economy and most people continue *not* owning
