The Australian public can see right through Qantas' shiny PR facade.

Qantas under Joyce has been the architect of its own demise. We need to see major investment to bring back good, secure aviation jobs and quality service standards.

When times are bad, companies like Qantas socialise their losses. When they're making record profits, execs pocket it.

Either way, workers and the public lose.

The big 4 banks have made $32.4 billion in profits in the last financial year. With the long weekend ahead of us, they can and must pay up to keep cash moving. twu.com.au/press/banks-mu…

Of course there's an aviation skills shortage.

That's what happens when companies like Qantas illegally outsource thousands, and split the rest across 38 companies.

We need an independent commission that can act in workers' and travellers' interests.

Qantas workers have gone through mental trauma, family breakdowns, financial stress and more since being illegally sacked.

An indictment on the Spirit of Australia.

Last year there were more horrific revelations about the exploitative transport gig economy.

New laws have just passed that will allow minimum standards to be set in this sector. Those standards are urgent to protect transport gig workers.

Proud to stand beside these workers today.

They have fought relentlessly to hold Australia’s biggest corporate bully to account.

Qantas compensation hearings next week in the Federal Court.

1700 workers were illegally outsourced over three years ago. They've stood up for justice throughout.

Last week Qantas was criminally convicted and fined $250,000 for illegally standing down Theo during covid.

He was a health and safety rep standing up for his fellow workers.

Next week he'll also be part of compensation hearings for the 1700 workers Qantas illegally outsourced.

“After speaking out about pay and safety, Zhouying logged in for work for 100 hours and only got $84. If that’s not exploitative practices we don’t know what is. We’re pursuing this in the Fair Work Commission” - Emily McMillan

A kick in the guts to illegally outsourced workers.

They still haven't seen a dollar of compensation after Qantas dragged them through the courts for 3 years.

To the road transport workers—like owner driver Frank Black—who've been campaigning for a better industry for decades: we wouldn't be here without you.

Zhuoying is one of the bravest workers I've met.

She's a delivery rider for Hungry Panda—the company retaliated and stopped giving her orders when she organised a protest for safety and fairness.

She's struggled financially since, but still stood up today for justice.
