It’s a 940-page bill released at midnight, which means no Senator has read it or knows how much it costs. But we do know it blows up the debt, transfers wealth to the super-rich, slashes healthcare & food assistance, and pulls rug out from job creation in Tennessee.

The key word there is ‘average’ since it will save those making over $950k per year ~ $68k per year and those making under $100k per year ~$40 (and those below poverty see an increase) then it may average to $2600, but that’s obviously a dishonest message. #grift

This Republican budget bill also adds $4 trillion to the national debt. Tax breaks for the rich never trickle down.

So the only way they pushed this absurd bill forward was adding a provision exempting the tie-making senator’s state from the full application of the bill. That’s pretty gross. Basically an admission that the majority thinks this is bad policy.
