NOAA recently announced this Jan. was 6th warmest on record. With a changing climates these trends are going to be more common than ever. The good news is, we know what to do. Nature has an important role to play in addressing these challenges. Let’s choose to act on climate!

Here in Vermont, we're learning about the incredible value that beavers bring to our waterways. Our science and restoration teams are now contemplating how to mimic beaver activity in places they no longer live. Are you seeing signs of beaver activity in your neighborhood?

A recent statewide study of Red Cedar Woodlands by consulting ecologist Matt Peters found that while not very large, many of the gnarled trees that grow in these cliff-top areas are ancient, some over 320 years old. You can visit some of them at Snake Mountain in Addison.
