I held calls with Prime Ministers Kaja Kallas and Petteri Orpo on the on-going investigations into the damage on the gas pipeline and data cable connecting Estonia and Finland. I strongly condemn any act of destruction of critical infrastructure.

Finland’s energy supply is stable despite the disruption of the natural gas pipeline between Finland and Estonia. Natural gas accounts for only around three per cent of the energy used in Finland. Homes with gas heating are rare.
