But Fashanu’s posthumous legacy has included his niece Amal Fashanu launching the The Justin Fashanu Foundation in his honour, which seeks to eliminate prejudice and tackle homophobia in sport and he was named 99th on a list of 500 LGBT heroes by the Pink Paper.
