Passable Wargamer, good enough historian, average to poor front row, nostalgic Old Pangbournian. đŹđ§đŽó §ó ąó ·ó Źó łó ż Retweets + likes =/= endorsement.

5th Regiment of Foot at St Lucia in 1778 Calling these fellows done (because my patience is only so long and I owe Dr Andrew Bamford some writing) But thereâll be 3 more bases in this battalion and Iâd like to go on to do the rest of General Meadowsâ advanced brigade at Vigie
Last week Tom Golding-Lee joined me in Sunny Scotland, we visited a LOT of battlefields, over two days on a road trip (with wild camping). After discussing 1689 battle of Killiekrankie we went down to the river, to cool off & discussing Soldier's Leap. youtube.com/shorts/5sLVoZ1âŠ
A very splendid weekend hosted by Marcus Cribb A true privilege to walk the ground on the battles of the Jacobite risings with a good mate
Had a brilliant time in Scotland with Marcus Cribb. There are a few videos of our âwar walksâ - hereâs the one on the Battle of Glen Shiel and the forgotten Jacobite 19 youtu.be/uM59hzefG8A?siâŠ
I was on a podcast! Christian Parkinson had me on to talk about the origins of the War of Jenkins Ear and the assault on Cartagena - as well as the sad epilogue on Cuba. Itâs the first podcast Iâve done and I really enjoyed it! Thanks Christian! open.spotify.com/episode/7zB23mâŠ
Bravo to Robert Lyman đșđŠ and Jack Bowsher - Thunder Run: Meiktila 1945 on The Forgotten War Podcast: Burma Campaign WW2 for mentioning the âfinal charge of British Cavalryâ at Toungoo in March 1942. I converted some Sikh Sowars (who apparently took part in the charge) from Perry Miniatures figures some years back. Iâll have to find them.
