A promising start, particularly for Africa!

A busy but enjoyable trip to Addis Ababa for the Gates Foundation #GrandChallenges 2019 Annual Meeting. Great to also meet with @AfrResExFund supporters Profs Rose Leke and Francine Ntoumi to explore improving the Africa Research Excellence Fund's presence in Central Africa

30yrs ago the Berlin Wall fell. Today scientists from around the world meet at #FallingWalls19 to break down barriers for better global health. Alongside @AfrResExFund it’s heartening to see so many emerging African scientists represented, particularly women! The future is bright

Currently in Senegal representing @AfrResExFund’s support for the Forum Galien Afrique. Fantastic to see and meet medical and pharmacy students! A worthy investment to better health across Africa.
