The post is a question, in present tense, showing what could happen if a candidate is elected, it is not saying it will happen, but that this candidate is opposed to it happening. Candidates should be able to show pictures of differnt futures

So according to the offical list that parliament keeps there are now 100 MP's stadning down at the next GE. The average is usualy 87 so this is not much higher than average.

There needs to be a public discussion on the sharing of legal/accounting advice. There is a big push to always ask for it by the opposition whenever decisions are made. Most of the time those receiving legal advice are told it’s only Legally privileged if not shared.

An average of 87 MPs stood down from the House of Commons at general elections between 1979 and 2010, we are now at 99. I think the confidence interval means once it is more than 110 standing down its newsworthy. commonslibrary.parliament.uk/research-brief…

Wonderful to see the newly refurbished Mammals exhibit at the always fabulous Natural History Museum and maybe they will keep the fox prints in their new garden!

Still anxiously checking for any impromptu arrival of the podium (90 min to go) for the last day to call the Ge for May, but now it looks like the UK GE will be 14th November. That means no mad rush to select candidates on Special rules.

Incredibly impressed that the Penny team are probably well past 100 constituency fundraisers. It is often incredibly hard for associations to raise money and great to see senior politicians making time for it. The typical association will target to raise £20-50k a year.

A very helpful visual comparison of the old and new UK boundaries for those of us still learning the new areas!

Quick refresh on Short Money; From 1 April 2022, eligible parties receive £19,401.20 for every seat won at the last election plus £38.75 for every 200 votes gained by the party. and you need at least 2 MP's or 150,000 votes.

There will be many reporters buying the new Google phone, testing the composite feature today. Composite pictures (where multiple similar images are taken, “the best” is chosen, allows you to pick pictures where without blinking/kids smile.

Sorry, this is not correct. There is no long list, as our Sift Committee has not yet met to review all the applications received (that is occurring on Tuesday evening). We are very grateful to everyone who has submitted an application.

The election for the next speaker takes on significant new importance as it comes with the ability to have immunity from standing for re-election at the General Election. It is unlikely to be a smooth process due to this.

In about 35 days time we will find how much the Mayor’s team paid for this. There are many agencies that would have listened to London and picked names that are more relevant

It has been the greatest honour to have been elected as a public servant for 18 years. However, I will not be seeking re-election.

I remain loyal to the Conservative Party and our Prime Minister, and I will continue to work hard for local people across the Two Cities.

Astonishing to see British Airways do not think that the tier benefits should apply to Group seats. When will BA integrate the systems, then let seat selection occur. I note on the picture of benefits there is no indicator to say group bookings do not count

Very interesting how there is still no community notice on this post but a typical gov campaign post has one within 3-6 hours

it is clear the UK conservatives are struggling to get content past user vetting on X. Yet again the user feedback directly contradicts with evidence the Rishi Post. This is not good social media strategy.
