*NEW* data from Department for Levelling Up, Housing & Communities
There are now 145,800 homeless children in Temporary Accommodation.
The government should launch a cross department homeless families task force immediately to tackle this crisis.

Really moving exhibition in Parliament this week by Anthony Luvera & Households in Temporary Accommodation APPG on the reality faced by those living for often indefinite periods in unsuitable/cramped Temporary Accommodation. Govt must end this scandal: build the social and affordable homes our communities need.
There's still time today for MPs and Peers to visit our exhibition in the Upper Waiting Hall.
We would love to engage leaders from all parties about the crisis of homeless families.

A really important exhibition in Parliament this week by Anthony Luvera & Households in Temporary Accommodation APPG on the hardship faced by the 109,000 households currently stuck in cramped Temporary Accommodation.
With over 140,000 children living without a safe & secure home, it’s clear we are in a crisis.
Powerful Households in Temporary Accommodation APPG exhibition shows impact of #temporaryhousing & we know #Section21 evictions play key role in its soaring use. Today Tories could end #Section21 , instead #RentersReformBill watered down to appease landlord lobby. A Labour Govt will act where Tories have failed.
Powerful & touching exhibition by Households in Temporary Accommodation APPG Anthony Luvera at UK House of Commons. Left with lots to think about & actions to take. Hardship & resiliency of these families extend beyond pictures. Thankyou for sharing your stories with the world; I hope we are stirred to bring change.
This week, I visited the Households in Temporary Accommodation APPG exhibition on 'Families in Temporary Accommodation' featuring Anthony Luvera's impactful work.
It is crucial we work to improve the health and wellbeing of those in temporary housing, especially the 142,490 children across the country.

The APPG for Temporary Accommodation recently had a successful EGM and has appointed 4 officers plus an incredible 30 members.
We are committed to improving the health, lives and experiences of all those that live in Temporary Accommodation.
Chair: Siobhain McDonagh MP
Proud to support the vital work Siobhain McDonagh MP and the Households in Temporary Accommodation APPG yesterday. Daniel Hewitt is right- it's hard to think of a more pressing issue than the deaths of homeless children in temporary accommodation.
More needs to be done to tackle this tragic, avoidable loss of life.
Last night Daniel Hewitt broke the news that 55 children have died in temporary accommodation.
Today we visited Downing Street to hand in our petition and urge the government to set up a Homeless Families Task Force to tackle the issue of child mortality head on.
