Update - Good news! Comments from both SEATNow.org - Stop Extraterritorial American Tax and @Demsabroadtax were accepted by Treasury and will result in small changes to #PFIC Form 8621 and Publication 54 for #Americansabroad. Next step is to request a formal rulemaking process to achieve substantive change!
