Finished up planting last 2 of 3 grazing “cover crop” studies yesterday followed with a little rain overnight. Just have to keep hoping and have a little luck going forward Bill Coufal Kale Adams; and we send off Anthony Pennartz on to his next endeavor in life

Amazing what some rain will do (3.5")- on verge of burning up in early August to "how did that happen" to "let's turn some cattle on that" by early September. Grazing #covercrops #texasagriculture

Thought I’d try to replace 19 year no-till wheat with some fescue - two years later reverted to sweeps to combat windmillgrass!

After 10 years of no-till with and without cover crops, NT with no cover succumbed to windmill grass - easy to pick out those NT no cover plots. Time to break out the plow and track how a one or two time pass impacts soil properties.

Perhaps in contrast to our partners in crime out west ⁦Katie L. Lewis⁩ ; late terminated cover has not hindered growth compared to no cover. Bit more rainfall here, also think we both are seeing sweet spot for term timing
