Supervisors of Cohort 1 students under the TAGDev 2.0 Program @EgertonUniversity met at Nuru Palace, Nakuru to discuss strategies for strengthening postgraduate supervision.

One of the key action points was to come up with strategies to enhance co-supervision of postgraduate students ensure timely feedback and support timely completion of studies.

The TAGDev 2.0 Program, led by the Program Coordinator, joined in celebrating the Sanara Program Creatives Graduation held at Ashley College. A total of 51 talented creatives graduated after completing their training under the partnership between TAGDev and the Sanara Consortium

The TAGDev ASEC Seed Potato Unit conducted a Farmers Field Day on mechanization in seed potato planting at Kikapu. Farmers were trained on the advantages of mechanization and best practices in tractor operation and maintenance.

TAGDev-supported students Egerton University today held their monthly progress review session, facilitated by the TAGDev Secretariat. Key reminders included timely progress reporting, commitment to research assistant duties, and maintaining academic excellence.

Drone operation training for precision agriculture is ongoing Egerton University, with TAGDev students and ASEC Project Research Assistants gaining hands-on skills in crop monitoring, nomalized difference Vegetative index, spraying and field mapping.

The training equips them to support farmers with data-driven decisions that reduce costs, improve yields, and strengthen climate-smart farming. This is part of our commitment to preparing young leaders to drive innovation and transformation in Agri-food systems

Today marks the end of the 2 days TAGDev 2.0 National Coordinating Committee is meeting in Naivasha aimed at enhancing collaboration and aligning program interventions with national priorities.

Members from universities, TVETs, government & Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA), are reviewing roles, sharing best practices, and planning key activities. The meeting was officially opened by the DVC Research and Extension on behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, Egerton University

TAGDev 2.0 program Egerton University today engaged with 144 cooperative farmers and SCAO's from Njoro, Molo, Kuresoi South, Rongai and Subukia during a capacity building forum held at Catholic Diocese of Nakuru.

The discussions focused on strengthening cooperative structures, assessing key needs, and enhancing entrepreneurship skills to support job creation and improve economic resilience within farming communities.
