Hello #KidLitArt! It’s been a long time! Happy New Year!

I tend to find a lot of inspiration from learning new things! I know that seems a big vague, but really it sometimes stems from random new facts I learn from reading articles or listening to podcasts #kidlitart

Oh a big one for me lately has been listening to a lot of DnD or actual play podcasts! Listening to people have so much fun creating and telling stories together energizes me and makes me want to have fun creating something too! #kidlitart

I think I know it’s time to take a break and refill the creative well when I hit that point where I just can’t seem to be excited about or happy with ANY new idea. Nothin’ seems quite ‘right’. Time for a break and a refresh. #kidlitart

Hmmm. I think I tend to look to my own life experience more often for themes maybe? Like, I try to think of what I was really enjoying or struggling with at a given age, and use that as inspo when brainstorming for stories. #kidlitart

Okay, it’s not out of the box at all but the only thing coming to mind right now is my morning coffee time before work. It’s like, my special quiet ritual every morning that’s just for me (and also tends to be kitty cuddling time), and I LOVE it dearly #kidlitart
