A special visit from Louai today, who gave us a brief introduction to Arabic music! We looked (and played) at different instruments, listened to cultural classics and had a little dance! We had great fun! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

We’ve spent the afternoon locating different points (or symbols) on an ordinance survey map using grid references! We even challenge Miss Parry to see if we could build the map of England quicker than her!

While most of us added chocolate chips to a basic biscuit recipe, some children opted to improve their biscuits with a healthier choice of cherries! Our unique shapes and delicious taste earned us a 10 from Mrs Wilson!

Meet Dallam’s budding gymnasts. Ruby and Ava both attend gymnastics clubs outside of school. Ruby has successfully achieved her level 4 and Ava came second in a competition, for her floor work. Congratulations to them both.

Mmmmm… biscuits! “How can we adapt a recipe to make it even better?” Sycamore class are asking themselves this half term. Today we started our research by tasting a variety of different biscuits to help us decide on our own design and ingredients.

Thinking about love and love as part of our relationships topic in Jigsaw. We came up with lots of lovely ways to remember those who are special to us.

Making the most of the sunshine to enjoy our extra play for being the highest attending class in KS2 last week! Well done Sycamore - can we make it 100% this week?

We created a living graph in history to help us to explain the beginning of the Viking invasion! Can you see how their control of Britain slowly increased?

We loved exploring how sound is made! We had lots of opportunity to explore different ways sound is made. Watch the video to see the part of our lesson where we made the water splash using vibrations!

During our science lesson today, we used data loggers to measure what happens to the sound of a drum when you move further away! We started at 96 dB (next to the drum) and it dropped to 45 dB (12m away)! We love taking our learning outside!
