A special visit from Louai today, who gave us a brief introduction to Arabic music! We looked (and played) at different instruments, listened to cultural classics and had a little dance! We had great fun! Thank you for sharing your knowledge! #dallammusic #dallamdiversity
We’ve spent the afternoon locating different points (or symbols) on an ordinance survey map using grid references! We even challenge Miss Parry to see if we could build the map of England quicker than her! #dallamgeography
Before building our own algorithms, we are using our computational reasoning to decode, edit and improve different scratch codes! This week, we learnt to recognise patterns within code. #dallamcomputing Kapow Primary Scratch Team
Finding the area of a shape didn’t trouble Sycamore class! We loved sharing with our adults how we learn during math lessons! #dallammaths Maths — No Problem!
Thinking about love and love as part of our relationships topic in Jigsaw. We came up with lots of lovely ways to remember those who are special to us. #dallampshe
We created a living graph in history to help us to explain the beginning of the Viking invasion! Can you see how their control of Britain slowly increased? #dallamhistory
We loved exploring how sound is made! We had lots of opportunity to explore different ways sound is made. Watch the video to see the part of our lesson where we made the water splash using vibrations! #dallamscience
The Dallam ducks have returned to our school pond. It is lovely to have them back after the winter! 🦆 #Dallamducks
During our science lesson today, we used data loggers to measure what happens to the sound of a drum when you move further away! We started at 96 dB (next to the drum) and it dropped to 45 dB (12m away)! We love taking our learning outside! #dallamscience #dallammaths
