🔭RAPIDS COACH SIGHTINGS🔭 Coach Ashley was busy on Tue night supporting Rapids swimmers!! It was awesome seeing Miller Sweazy at the Hanover vs Pebble Creek meet! Soon thereafter, she got to see Brooke Nelson sharing her wisdom as a coach of her own at Wellesley vs CORA!

🚨TEAM RECORD ALERT🚨 Our Rowdy Rapids are in Christiansburg this weekend with a record 33 swimmers!! Several are off to a great start, including 12y old, Landon Buschman, whose 4:51 400 free was a 14 sec drop, beating the previous team record by 8 sec, finishing 6th overall!!

🥇 AGE GROUP CHAMPION ALERT🥇This young man has been flexing all season long! And now, after all that hard work, Nolan Feighner can now call himself an Age Group CHAMPION! His 1:03.80 ranks him as the 10th fastest 12 year old in the entire country for the 2022-2023 season! 👀

🔭RAPIDS COACH SIGHTING 🔭 Coach Jonathan & Coach Ben had so much fun at the Southside Swim Leeague champs last night! A huge shout out goes to all our Rowdy Rapids (we had so many out there!), who helped their teams light it up. It looked like so much fun and you swam so fast!

We were making a BIG SPLASH today during the 2023 Chesterfield Aquatic League Champs with amazing teams from all over! This day was a great opportunity for teams to come together under one roof in friendly competition and fun. #SwimRVA #SwimforIt #Swimming #Sports

💦The streak continues! 💦 For four straight Age Group Champs meets, the SwimRVA ‘Rowdy’ Rapids have finished in the Top 5 of all 41 Virginia Swimming teams! We have also scored more points in each end of the season championship meet than the previous year. KEEP RISING RAPIDS!

🚨TEAM RECORD ALERT🚨 Piper Price has kicked us off at Futures Championships with a bang! Literally the first length raced in the meet for SwimRVA and this star Rapids swimmer was a team record! Her 35.1 breast split was the fastest in team history! Way to go Piper!

💦🔥4th OVERALL at FUTURES!!💦🔥After a 3.5 second drop this a.m., Bryce Mortimer lowered his team record in the 200 breaststroke, finishing 4th place overall at Futures Championships with a 2:20.20…. Only a half second off of a US Open/National cut! That’s a SPICY MEATBALL!! 🌶️

Tie-dye fun Rowdy Rapids style!! Our SwimRVA-Church Hill swimmers had a blast this week wrapping up tie-dye shirts at practice. Shout out to Coach Aponi and Coach Madison for the idea and putting it together. So fun!

📣HISTORY MADE!! 📣 Huge congratulations to SwimRVA’s Christine Datovech for becoming the 1st Rapids swimmer in history to compete at USA Swimming Junior Nationals!! She swam a near best 100 fly this a.m. in Irvine, CA and is set to rocket 🚀 across the pool again Fri in the 50!

VIRGINIA CUP CHAMPION! Did you know Anais Pozzi is not only a SwimRVA record holder, she’salso an elite soccer player! Her Kickers Elite team won the VIRGINIA CUP!!! It’s such a big deal, everyone got a week to have the cup, She brought it to practice to share with her Rapids fam

ACCIDENTALLY TWINNING! When you don’t plan it, but actually end up twinning at practice… even down to the same pair of goggles. Looking good, Claire and Scarlett!
