Welcoming “Sweden” to Zambia 🇿🇲

A 🇸🇪 delegation from embassies across Africa, reps from MFA and other Swedish institutions visited Zambia to network and discuss trade promotion and policy & comms.

It also included a trip to Solwezi to learn more about sustainable mining ⛏️

In 2022, Swedish music exports generated SEK 3.6 billion. Sweden stands out globally – partly because the reach of Swedish music is so great. In 2022, songs by artists such as Avicii were among the most-streamed Swedish songs globally.

Yesterday, we traced Dag Hammarskjold’s legacy in the Copperbelt. From the crash site in Ndola, to the Dag Hammarskjold Institute for Peace and Security at Copperbelt University and to the library dedicated to him at Mindolo Ecumenical Foundation in Kitwe.

The Swedish Easter celebrations are about to begin 🇸🇪

Easter is first and foremost a chance to get together with family, relatives and loved ones over traditional food, but also for children to paint boiled eggs 🥚🎨 and dress up as witches to get candy 🧙‍♀️🍭

This week, a joint stakeholder mission has set off to Siavonga for monitoring and discussions on the rehabilitation of the Kariba Dam. The mission saw a 94% completion of the Plunge Pool works and it is expected that the pool will be refilled by the end of 2024. #SweZam 🇸🇪🇿🇲

The @zambiafree and BBC Media Action yesterday successfully showcased works of 9 female journos trained over a period of 9 months in IJ, fact checking, interviewing skills, etc via the Moto project, with support from Swedish International Development Agency Sweden in Zambia 🇸🇪
