Always nice to meet young people Interested in global affairs and disarmament. Today it was IKFF Sverige (WILPF Sweden) youth ambassadors that visited us to chat about the work we do and their priorities.

Today marks 50 years since the entry into force of the Biological Weapons Convention, the first multilateral disarmament treaty to ban an entire category of WMD. Sweden remains committed to the treaty and call upon all states that have not yet joined the Convention to do so.

Sweden thanks Australia for its tireless 40-year leadership in preventing the spread of chemical and biological weapons.
