Swaray to the International Labour Organization 112th Session of the International Labour Conference at United Nations Geneva, Switzerland (June 3-14, 2024). Hon. Minister Mohamed R. Swaray, accompanied by Amb. Gberie and the 🇸🇱 delegation, had a productive meeting with the ILO Director-General at the 112th ILC. Key discussions focused on capacity building, social protection, and efforts towards a new social contract. #ILC2024 International Labour Organization

Accompanied by our Ambassador to Switzerland Dr. Lans Gberie and our social partners, I met with the Director General of the ILO today and we discussed the technical support for extension of social protection to the informal sector and a Labour management Information System

As Co-Chair at today's Isle of Man Deke and @AUC_Migration meeting, I highlighted the urgent need to evacuate #SierraLeonean female #migrantworkers from #Lebanon amidst worsening conditions. I also urged #AU to uphold #freemovement after 2 #SierraLeoneans were stranded at Bole Intl.

Today, I delivered the keynote address at the validation of Sierra Leone's National Volunteering Policy. Grateful to the African Union for its technical support and to the Ministry of Employment, Labour & Social Security's development partners for their continued commitment.
