Ruth Swailes Department for Education 😭
When I’m working with our Reception class it is an absolute privilege and I treasure every single interaction.
Working with children, especially the younger ones, needs to be recognised as a valued vocation with properly qualified staff who are paid accordingly.

You get the best out of the people you work with when you trust and support them. I don't understand why the DfE does the opposite now. It wasn't always like this. I do remember a time when teachers were trusted and supported. 🤷‍♀️

Krishnan Guru-Murthy Susan Hall close to winning in the same way that I took my bike out of the shed today for the first time in a year and was close to winning the Tour de France.

This is HANDS DOWN the best thing I have ever heard a politician say about a result.

'Well, we know that there's a recount. So, we know either that Andy Street has won or he has nearly won. Either result shows how well the Conservatives are doing.' 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

What can I say other than a huge thank you and that I’m overwhelmed by your support.

I love this job, the people of this city-region and I promise you this third term will be the best yet for Greater Manchester.

I will do my best for everyone, whether you voted for me or not.

London has spoken.
No to Islamophobia.
No to endorsing Trump.
No to the torrent of Tory lies.
Yes to our brilliant, richly diverse city.
Yes to the values of decency and compassion.
Yes to Sadiq.

Zoe Enser 🐉 Whilst I also find it fascinating, the reality is as a data collection method it is very flawed. You could do the same deep dive three times over with three different people on three different days and the outcomes too variable to cast a judgement. What I value is likely to be…

I see the usual Gibb/Gove fan boys are pushing the stupid 'who needs experts' meme, with added misogyny, as most of the experts they are targeting are women in education.

BREAKING: Sadiq Khan has won record third term as London mayor, beating Tory Susan Hall by 11.1 points (around 280,000 votes), final results confirm.

It’s his biggest lead yet - Khan beat Shaun Bailey in 2021 by 4.7 points and Zac Goldsmith in 2016 by 9.2 points.

Only one…
