If you are unwilling or unable to develop some proficiency in the original languages of the major primary and secondary sources of your particular field of study, you should not be getting a PhD. This should not be controversial, but in the 21st century, it is.

Theology 101: Christian living in this mixed-up world requires wisdom from on high. Just because the world does something, that doesn’t make it right. And just because the world does something, that doesn’t make it wrong. Divine discernment is needed at every turn.

Theology 101: Maybe it’s just me, but it seems like some evangelicals just aren’t happy unless they have a false friend of the Faith to support or a fake enemy of the Faith to attack.

Theology 101: Sanctification is as much the essence of salvation as justification; it is not an effect or by-product of salvation.
