Join us tomorrow at 12-1pm to hear from MCIDT affiliate Dr. Suzy Dawid (Suzanne Dawid): A variable array of secreted signals and bacteriocins control competition during pneumococcal colonization. Dept of Microbiology & Immunology @ the Univ of MI
Hi my name is Travis and I study genetic factors that contribute to severe bacterial infections. I am an #actuallivingscientist and an #UnapologeticallyFeministScientist . I am forever thankful for the training and mentorship I received from an amazing female scientist Suzanne Dawid
Adam Ratner MD MPH Samir S. Shah @AlexRKemper All I had to do was tweet! Thanks Adam Ratner MD MPH .
Are you working on decoding the streptococcal language? We, Luisa Hiller π§π·πΊπΈ and Suzanne Dawid, would love to hear more about it for the Frontier Research Topic

Thank you for the great seminar Suzanne Dawid . It was great learning about the relationship between the Com and Blp peptide signaling systems. Seeing the potential cross-talk between these systems and the variation in timing in Streptococcus pneumoniae made for a great talk!
Interested in learning more about Streptococcus pneumoniae? Check out this research from MCIDT affiliate Dr. Suzanne Dawid (Suzanne Dawid).
Proud moments for Suzanne Dawid and Dept of Microbiology & Immunology @ the Univ of MI! Charles is truly a superstar graduate!
It was a great pleasure to be part of this review and enjoyed working with Surya Dev Aggarwal Luisa Hiller π§π·πΊπΈ Suzanne Dawid
Congratulations to our founder, Samantha Ratner (and the Suzanne Dawid lab), for her new paper about Streptococcus pneumoniae, which causes pneumococcal disease, in the Journal of Bacteriology!

Happy to see this in print in PLOS Pathogens where we review how pneumococcus engages in social interactions & detail the diversity of cell-cell communication peptides it encodes.
