So pleased with the heavy rain yesterday, whole park has been so dry. We have been struggling to keep young trees alive. We welcome more people to join our Adopt a Tree Project. :) Trees for Cities Kidbrooke Village Fields in Trust 💚

Meet the harvestman! It may have eight legs, but it’s not a spider. Unlike spiders, harvestmen don't spin silk or produce venom, and if they lose a leg, it won’t grow back. They are very visible at this time of year, so keep an eye out for these spindly arachnids! 🕷️

Dominic Mann spotted this 'Chicken of the Wood' fungus growing on one of the cherry trees in the park - apparently this fungus is beneficial to the trees and does not cause harm according to Kew Gardens. Kidbrooke Village Trees for Cities
