There were beautiful pink, frosty skies this morning and a beautiful, pink sky in this artwork by the brilliant, Samantha Tuffnell. This is Murmuration at Eastbourne and is created with ink and then carefully worked into with bleach to remove colour and create the final effect.

Alfriston Clergy House in East Sussex was the first building acquired by the National Trust, founded #OnThisDay in 1895. This photograph shows the 14th-century building before it was restored in 1898. The building is a rare surviving example of a Wealden hall house.
